Our befriending scheme can receive referrals from anyone who is suffering from extreme loneliness. Befriending is a means to reduce isolation and increase independence.
Clients are placed with a volunteer befriender who will call or visit them for one hour a week in their own home and chat to them whilst encouraging them to make positive choices and help them to help themselves.

Rhubarb Farm offers a wide range of people opportunities to spend time on the Farm. We are in an area with limited public transport and a lot of people who come here do not have their own transport. We need the help of new volunteer drives to collect people from the local area using our minibus in the morning, an early run and sometimes a later one, and return them in the afternoon.
