The Mental Health First Aid Network is part of the Derbyshire Mental Health & Suicide Prevention (MHSP) Outreach Project, commissioned by Derbyshire County Council. The Network aims to support individuals and organisations across Derbyshire and Derby City in creating a more mentally healthy culture.
This free Network is open to anyone who has completed MHFA training. Members can join a private Facebook group to access useful resources, connect with peers, share successes and challenges, and stay informed about ongoing support.
We also host regular ‘Listening Lounges’—informal, drop-in sessions for Mental Health First Aiders who are using their skills in either a paid or voluntary capacity. These sessions offer a welcoming space to talk, share experiences, ask questions, or simply meet other MHFAs. There’s no need to book—just pop in when you can.
As a member, you’ll also receive a weekly email update summarising Facebook group activity, plus a monthly newsletter from the MHSP Outreach Project with additional resources, events, and opportunities.
Joining the network is so simple, email mhfa@erewashcvs.org.uk with a copy of your MHFA certificate. If you need a new copy of your certificate, contact: https://mhfaengland.org/mhfa-centre,contact-us/
