As the local Quality Accredited Volunteer Centre, INVOLVE holds a database of volunteering opportunities across Bassetlaw. We offer appointments to people interested in volunteering to talk about skills and interests which allows us to make matches to the available opportunities. We offer appointments Monday to Friday by prior arrangement.

The INVOLVE service does require a registration form to be completed, this includes your contact details and information about your skills, interests and availability. Should you need help to complete the form, please let the advisor know at the start of your appointment.

INVOLVE advisors can also contact organisations on your behalf to arrange visits with a named contact.

Where necessary, further arrangements can be made to support you into your first placement, by prior arrangement, please speak to your INVOLVE advisor.

All other support needs should be discussed with your INVOLVE advisor at your appointment.

INVOLVE hosts a quarterly meeting - Bassetlaw Volunteer Forum, to keep up to date with the latest trends and to make sure we are best serving the needs of volunteers and volunteer-involving organisations. INVOLVE are pleased to be part of a Volunteer Passport scheme, which will offer new and existing volunteers certified training around 6 topics including Equality & Diversity, Health & Safety, and Confidentiality.

Personal information supplied to us will be used to help us find suitable volunteering opportunities. This information is collected when a potential volunteer contacts us.

Data collected is limited to your name, email address, age and telephone number.

Data is stored on password protected cloud based database which can only be accessed by BCVS staff members authorised by the Director.  Any paper based files are stored in a lockable cabinet within the BCVS office.

You have the right to request a copy of the information we have stored about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of the personal data we hold about you, please write to: Catherine Burn, The Old Abbey School, Worksop, Notts. S80 2BU or email director@bcvs.org.uk. You are entitled to ask us to correct or remove any information.
