Free Singing for People with Dementia and their Carers - Mansfield
University of Nottingham are recruiting people with dementia and their carers to attend a FREE, weekly singing session in Mansfield on Monday afternoons.
The study is still open to new participants who can get to Mansfield, but hurry because we need to welcome them by the end of February.

New Memory Club, starts Tuesday 7th February 2023, 1.00pm – 3.00pm and then meets every other Tuesday.
Are you concerned your memory isn’t what it used to be? Come and join us in a relaxed and supportive setting.

Independent Age – Expansion of the Reconnection Service in Nottingham and opportunities to access Moneywise and Scamwise workshops to help address the cost of living crisis.
Our service supports people 65+ in the following areas:
Nottingham City, Arnold, Beeston, Bulwell, Carlton, Carrington, Clifton, Daybrook, Gedling, Hucknall, Lenton and Dunkirk, Netherfield, West Bridgford, Wilford and Wollaton.
We have now added Aspley, Basford, Bestwood, Bilborough, Broxtowe, Cinderhill, Sneinton, Meadows, Sherwood, Radford and Hyson Green and St Anns to our list for referrals.
We currently have capacity to support people in the following ways:
- Matching older people with a volunteer to combat isolation and loneliness, supporting people to become more connected in the local community. People can refer through our WEBSITE HERE and information Community Services | Independent Age. We are currently not able to support people with complex needs or who struggle with capacity and would need more specialist help.
- Offer specialist advice, we provide a confidential telephone service for people that are 65 +, their families and carers: 0800 319 6789
- Support people that are not able to get out and about, the opportunity to join a weekly telephone service with other older people in Nottingham
