Rhubarb Farm - Beyond the green gates

9th July

Date: Monday 28th July
Time: 5:00pm – 7:00pm (ideal for those with work, school runs, or busy lives!)
Venue: The Recovery Space, Old Caretaker’s House, Langwith Parish Hall, NG20 9EZ

This is an open-door evening for anyone curious about what goes on beyond the green gates. Whether someone’s in recovery, thinking about it, supporting someone else, or simply wants to be part of a community that doesn’t judge — they’re welcome. Bring the kids. Bring your questions. Or just come for the free cake.

The Recovery Space is proudly informal, inclusive and a little unconventional. No thresholds. No appointments. Just people being people.

What to expect:

  • Free refreshments (including very decent cake)
  • A relaxed chance to explore the space and meet the team (i.e.. Me)
  • Open chats about recovery — whatever that means to you
  • Derbyshire Adult Community Education (DACES) will be on hand to ask what free courses would actually benefit this community
  • A look ahead at new offers including ear acupuncture and sound baths
  • The chance to help design future events and groups
  • Information about Hope Festival, our joyful, sober celebration of community and healing
  • Signposting to other local services and support

We’d love for you to share this with the people you work with — not as “clients” or “service users,” but as individuals. Everyone is welcome, and we’ve made it especially accessible for those who may be working or have other daytime commitments.

If you or your organisation would like to come along or bring people with you, please feel free to let us know — or simply turn up on the evening.
