OPUS Music and The Alzheimer’s Society information gathering session

21st May

OPUS Music and The Alzheimer’s Society (through Singing for the Brain) have been delivering music-making sessions for people with dementia and their carers in Bolsover for a number of years.

Together, they are convening a session on Wednesday 25th June, 10.30am until 12.30pm at the Parish Rooms in Bolsover, bringing together people who have been taking part in these sessions with other stakeholders from across the District.
Alongside music-making (no musical experience required), we will be exploring how, when and where to provide the best service for our community.

Music has the potential to have significant positive impact on health and wellbeing for people with dementia; we have witnessed this through this practice in Bolsover.
If you have, work or support people with dementia, are interested in supporting the co-design of this work going forward, or just want further information, please get in touch.
If you would like to come along on the 25th June, please let us know.  It would be great to meet you there.
