Dementia Action Week – Denim for Dementia Day Friday 20th May 2022
This year’s Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Action Week takes place between Monday 16 and Sunday 22 May 2022, with a focus on diagnosis.
Dementia Action Nottingham & Nottinghamshire are encouraging us to hold a Denim for Dementia Day on Friday May 20th where we can wear denim and give a donation.
Research shows there are 850,000 people living with dementia in the UK alone, with numbers predicted to rise to over two million by 2051.
Thanks to support from groups such as Dementia Action Nottingham & Nottinghamshire, Alzheimer’s Society are able to carry on providing information, advice and support, fund research and campaign for improved health and social care and greater public understanding and awareness of dementia.
