
Local volunteers were given the recognition they deserve this week at the Bolsover Volunteer Awards on Monday, 2 June at the Glapwell Centre. The event, organised by Bolsover CVS, was part of national Volunteers' Week, celebrating the invaluable contributions of volunteers across the community.
The afternoon was filled with heartfelt appreciation and recognition for the selfless efforts of individuals who dedicate their time and energy to making Bolsover a better place. The awards ceremony highlighted the diverse range of volunteer activities and the positive impact they have on the community.
There was a wealth of amazing nominees which made it a very hard decision for the judges but the final winners were:

Heritage Volunteer of the Year: Arthur Broughton
Fundraising Volunteer of the Year: Katie Wass
Supportive Volunteer of the Year: Allison Jarvis
The event was a beautiful celebration, bringing together volunteers, community leaders, and residents to celebrate the spirit of giving and community service. Bolsover CVS expressed their gratitude to all volunteers for their dedication and hard work, emphasising the importance of volunteerism in building a stronger, more connected community.
