Job Details and Requirements
The above opportunity is now available at the Creswell Heritage and Wellbeing Centre.
Creswell Heritage and Wellbeing Centre is a £3 million leisure facility that caters for a wide range of ages and abilities and is fully accessible. We have a two badminton court sports hall, a 27 station gym, group exercise studio, indoor caving experience, children’s soft play area and a café.
The successful candidate will deliver excellent customer service and provide an effective and efficient service to all customers. To be short-listed for interview candidates must possess the following:-
- First aid at work
- Level 2 Gym Instructor
- Knowledge of all aspects of the Leisure Industry including working with partner organisations, governing bodies and regulatory authorities
- Knowledge of computer technology in a Leisure environment e.g. Management Information Systems, customer booking systems
- Knowledge of managing budgets and financial systems
- Understanding of the operation of leisure facilities, plant and equipment.
- Experience of cash handling
- Experience of developing programmes and initiatives
- Ability to plan and organise own work, for self and others to accomplish specific goals
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Knowledge and understanding of legal requirements relating to Leisure Facilities e.g. COSHH, Risk Assessments etc.
- Food Hygiene and Safety Certificate Level 2 or Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent (or willing to work towards within one month of commencing in post)
- Previous experience of dealing with customers, handling cash and basic refreshment preparation
- Ability to deal with a wide range of customers in an often busy environment and work as part of a team and with minimum supervision
