About us:
At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice we care for children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions. We support around 300 families both in our hospice and in family homes every year.
Our support services are wide ranging and bespoke to each family including end of life treatment and care, respite short breaks, counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy, home visits and much much more. It costs more than £5m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. We receive around 15% of our funding from government sources.
The role:
At Bluebell Wood, our volunteers are a vital part of what we do. If you have volunteering at your heart; can lead and inspire our volunteer team, and champion and promote the benefits of volunteering throughout the hospice, and in our wider community, we’d love to hear from you.
The requirements:
We’re looking for someone who has experience of project management and delivery. Ideally from a HR or volunteer services background, you’ll need to demonstrate experience of people management and have been a volunteer yourself. You should have great professional networks and be comfortable working with key influencers, both internally and externally. Most importantly, you should have a commitment to and empathy for the philosophy of working within a children’s hospice.
