We are a charity which runs Supported Child Contact Centres throughout Lincolnshire where children of separated families can enjoy family time with one, or both parents in a comfortable, neutral and safe environment when there is no viable alternative. Toys and play equipment are provided together with refreshments and space for families who are separated during the week to spend some quality time together.
Volunteers are currently needed to help run our Retford Centre.

Who we are looking for: Role summary:
To support parents and children to build relationships at supported contact sessions
Key tasks, duties and responsibilities:
1. Set up the venue and carry out health and safety checks and risk assessments
2. Meet and greet the resident and non resident parents and children
3. Facilitate and encourage positive interaction
4. Support the family with the care of the child eg nappy changing or feeding
5. Support the family’s understanding of the process
6. Provide refreshments.
7. To be aware of and adhere to policy and practice guidelines on :
• Confidentiality
• Health and safety
• Child protection
• Equal and Diversity

Requirements: Will require a Criminal Record Check (DBS)

Any Age/Gender restrictions: Due to the nature of the centres, we are unable to support youth volunteers and would request volunteers are over 18. No gender restrictions or upper age limit
Support for volunteers with additional needs: Children's Links aims to support volunteers with additional needs, however, the nature of the role can be quite challenging so may not be suitable for someone with learning difficulties.
