Opportunity Description: Creswell youth club runs on Mondays from 5pm – 7pm for 5 -11 year olds.
(Term time only and excludes bank holiday)
The Youth Club Volunteer is an exciting opportunity within the Creswell community, offering support to the Youth Club Leader to provide a safe an enjoyable experience for young people who attend.
Main activities will include;
• Set up and clear down equipment and activities.
• Interact with club members and encourage engagement.
• Ensure the club operates within the safe and welcoming benchmark. (training will be given)
• Support peer lead activities and fundraising.
• Mentor young people to build confidence and develop social skills.
• Foster a fully inclusive environment.
• Promote the club to the local community.

Who we are looking for: No experience is required as full induction, training and support will be given.

However we would like our volunteers to be;
• Passionate about working with young people
• Ability to engage and communicate with a range of stakeholders including young people and adults.
• Patience.
• Good listening skills.
• Organised.
• Friendly.
• Reliable
Requirements: Will require a Criminal Record Check (DBS)

Practical considerations: The club runs on Mondays 5pm - 7pm. Term time only and excludes bank holidays.
With the training and support available, we would like our volunteers to attend at least 10 sessions per year...

Support Available: We will hold regular volunteer meetings to provide an opportunity to give feedback and contribute ideas, as well as meeting other volunteers
Volunteers will also be offered the opportunity to attend other training and development events relevant to their role.
Training: You must be willing to attend free; safeguarding training, first-aid training and complete a level 2 food and hygiene course (online).
