Opportunity Description: Does your passion lie with the natural world?
Our site is attached to the 90 hectare country park which is very special habitat for wildflowers including rare orchids as it sits on top of magnesium limestone. It also boasts many dragonflies and damselflies and an array of birds and mammals.
Our nature group monitors and records our wild visitors for both local and national charities like Butterfly Conservation and carries out small habitat improvement projects.

Minimum time commitment – 4 hours weekly.

Practical considerations: The Heritage Centre is located in an industrial setting, which gives an authentic experience, this means there are several split levels and uneven floors throughout. The Visitor Centre, café and toilets are fully accessible.
It would be advisable to have access to a vehicle, although we are linked by several excellent biking trails.
Some of our welcome team may require a DBS - for which the Trust will fund.
