The Information, Signposting & Advice (ISA) service aims to empower individuals and support their health and wellbeing through the provision of accurate, up to date information, signposting & advice and through income maximization.
The service provides a first point of contact to members of the public including triaging enquiries, information provision and onward signposting and referral to both external organisations and other Age UK Nottingham and Nottinghamshire (Age UK Notts) services.
• The Signposting & Clerical Assistant is required to be part of the telephone group pick-up and Information Box management team within the Contact Hub team. This is to ensure that calls into the organisation are answered in a professional manner, that callers are listened to and their enquiries and needs are fully assessed. The post holder then needs to provide information, signpost, or refer callers onto a service for specialist support.
• The Signpost & Clerical Assistant will also be required to complete admin duties for the ISA team. Training and supportive resources will be available for the post holder.
The successful candidate will be comfortable taking calls and replying to voicemail messages, as well as responding to a range of enquiries. They will also possess excellent telephone communication skills and organisation skills.
Previous experience of providing a high level of customer service, clerical experience and strong IT skills are all essential.
As an employee of Age UK Nottingham & Nottinghamshire you will be eligible for our attractive package which includes 24 days annual leave (Pro Rata), public holidays, flexible working and a 4% employer contribution pension.
