Accountable to: BCVS Service Manager
General Role Description
The Bolsover VCS Volunteering Development Officer is a key ‘on the ground’ voluntary sector post in a complex environment where voluntary and community involvement is becoming more critical in supporting statutory partners to transform and redefine services. This key function has been proven even more essential during the current Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic where volunteers have been and continue to be crucial to the delivery of the community response.
The post will be hosted at the BCVS Worksop office and will work remotely throughout the District of Bolsover from community-based locations, to support the growth and development of the VCS activity and social action. Some home working may also be appropriate.
As such, the role requires someone with strong inter-personal skills who is well organised and capable of operating both independently and as part of a wider team. Knowledge of the Bolsover VCS and wider stakeholders including statutory partners would be a benefit to the role.
