Tell us how things are in your organisation

Dear Bolsover voluntary & community organisations,

We've developed a short questionnaire that we're hoping you can answer to help to represent the situation that we all find ourselves in at the moment. To fill it in, please CLICK HERE. You will help us to understand what support we can best offer at present and to accurately represent the current situation that community organisations find themselves in.

Thank you!

Connect Bolsover Small Grants Scheme 2020

Grants scheme launched to help community organisations to respond

Charities, Parish Councils and community organisations operating within the district of Bolsover can now apply for a grant of £200 - £1,000. The grant can be used to help deliver projects/services that meet ‘Connect Bolsover’ criteria. As a priority, we wish to support organisations that are already established and delivering essential services to vulnerable and/or isolated residents within the district of Bolsover.

We are especially interested in:
• Projects/services that directly help vulnerable people affected by the effects of COVID-19, such as by providing access to food, toiletries, and other necessities
• Projects/services that help to reduce isolation, either as a result of COVID-19 or for other reasons
• Projects/services that are already set up and helping vulnerable people now

Applications can be made to help cover the delivery costs of a project, or to cover core costs and increase organisational resilience. This could include the costs of recruiting, training and supporting volunteers; overhead costs such as utilities, telephone, rent or other costs relating to a new site of community hub where people can more easily access community support and services.

We want to be flexible in our approach so that funding can reach those organisations needing additional financial help as soon as possible. We aim to make a decision within 7 working days of your application being submitted.
If applications exceed available funding, Bolsover Partnership reserves the right to reduce grant allocations and/or prioritise applications from organisations that they believe will have greatest impact in responding to the immediate COVID-19 crisis.

To be eligible for funding, local charities and community organisations should be legally constituted. If you are not a legally constituted group, please contact BCVS to see if there are alternative options.

The fund is being managed by the BolsoverTogether service from BCVS; any queries about the application process should be made via email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Bolsover Together launches COVID volunteering scheme

In partnership between BCVS and Bolsover District Council, Bolsover Together have launched a way of signing up as a community volunteer across Bolsover District.

People who sign up to the scheme will receive a call from a local support officer from BCVS and will then be connected to a community organisation offering support services to people at this difficult time. With that organisation, they will be able then to negotiate the details of how they can help.
