Opportunity Description: The Crossing is seeking volunteers to join our existing team on a Friday afternoon offering a warm welcome and refreshments to people visiting The Crossing.
The role will include:
• Serving of drinks and snacks
• Offering a warm welcome to our visitors
• Helping the team maintain a clean and tidy cafe space.

Who we are looking for: We are looking for someone who is outgoing and personable to join our Friday afternoon team. A person who has worked in a cafe setting in the past would fit very well, however full training will be given if this is not the case.
Requirements: Will require a Criminal Record Check (DBS)
Suitable for: Employee Volunteers, Indoors, With Friends
Practical considerations: The role means you may be on your feet for up to three hours if the cafe becomes busy. If transport costs is an issue we can discuss helping with this.

Disabled Access details: There is a ramp to the entrance of the crossing, doorways are wide and there is an elevator onsite as well.
Expenses details: We can discuss assistance for transport expenses
Any Age/Gender restrictions: Volunteers should be 18+
Support for volunteers with additional needs: Yes, we always endeavour to support volunteers with additional needs.
Induction Arrangments: We are happy to offer a trial run and a follow up meeting after a six week period to ensure things are going well.
Insurance Cover: Yes, there is insurance cover
Support Available: There will always be a leader on site for you to speak with. There is also the volunteer coordinator, who you can contact freely via email or telephone.
